Our story

About Russell

Temecula has always been a special place — a community where families feel safe, neighborhoods are clean, and people look out for one another. I’m running for City Council because this has fallen by the wayside over the years, but I believe we can restore and strengthen that vision for the next generation.

As a firefighter, paramedic, and public safety leader, my career has been dedicated to protecting lives, solving problems under pressure, and serving our community. I want to bring that same results-driven leadership to City Hall.

My priorities are simple and focused on what matters most to Temecula families:

Keeping Temecula Safe and Family-Friendly

Every resident deserves to feel safe in our parks, shopping areas, and neighborhoods. I will implement a proactive, results-driven approach to addressing homelessness one that balances compassion with accountability, prioritizes public safety, and connects individuals to appropriate services and long-term support. Using the new mandates from SB 43 and enforcing existing laws. Temecula will be one of the safest cities in California.

Fixing Traffic and Infrastructure

Traffic has become one of the biggest frustrations for Temecula residents. And the truth is so far our city has been restricting our roadways and removing additional lanes with so called “road diets.” This defies all common sense and makes traffic worse. I will push for smarter traffic planning with improved road infrastructure (more lanes!) I will coordinate with regional agencies and implement adaptive signal technology across the city to reduce commute times and improve quality of life.

Strengthening Fire Protection — Achieving ISO Class 1

Temecula already has an outstanding fire department. By investing strategically in staffing, training, and resources, we can move from an ISO Class 2 rating to the highest possible ISO Class 1 rating — improving emergency response capability and lowering insurance costs for residents and businesses.

Responsible Leadership You Can Trust

I believe in fiscal responsibility, safety, transparency, and common-sense decision-making that brings true value to the citizens of Temecula. Taxpayer dollars should be spent efficiently and with measurable results that benefit residents.

Temecula is where families build their lives, raise their children, and invest in their future. Together, we can ensure our city regains its spot as one of the best places in California to live, work, and raise a family.
